About Us

The first house of the Good Shepherd Sisters was established in 1965 in the Din Daeng District of Bangkok, Thailand. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the quality of life of all those in need regardless of their religious affiliation. Since that time, the number of being helped has increased drastically. The area of Bangkok in which the Sisters first began working is unrecognizable. From the open paddy fields and slum dwellings, it is now a crowded busy metropolis. The slums have increased in number and the needs of the people facing unemployment, sickness, lack of educational opportunities and poverty have escalated.

How We Help

  • Baan Sukruthai

    Offers counselling, medical care in an environment in which the single mothers feel loved and accepted.

  • Baan Kevin

    Caters for teenage girls, many come from broken homes or have a history of sexual abuse.

  • Day Care Center

    Is work of promotion offering each children a chance to grow to his or her potential.

  • Adult Education

    Offers both female and male adults from the surrounding slums and the Government Housing Projects to study various kills

Donations

The Good Shepherd Home Foundation replies mainly on the kindness, support and generosity of our benefactors. We strive to remain as self sufficient as possible however a small donation can make a huge difference to the people we support.

Donations can be made supporting the following needs;

  • Financial support of a mother caring for her child – 1000 THB per month
  • Scholarships for Children in the Day Care Centre – 2000 THB per month
  • High School Education costs per child – 2000 THB per month
  • University Studies cost per teenager – 3000 THB per month

Volunteer to help people get out of poverty today!

Join the Good Shepherd’s Bangkok team and help us build a better world. Every year, our dedicated and passionate volunteers of all ages, give their expertise, skills, life experience, energy and time to the Good Shepherd Sisters.

Whether you’re 16 or 60, you can offer an hour or two every month, or give a more regular commitment, there are many exciting and flexible ways for you to get involved with our organisation.

It’a a good place that provide education to refugee children and local orphans. I really appreciate their service. The kids really feel at home when they are at school.

I have much respect for the Good Shepherd Sisters! I only experienced one of their ministries, with asylum-seeking families. I am so impressed with the efforts the sisters take to care for these families, including bringing food to them when the school is shut during Covid, and providing SIM cards so the kids can study online.
